TrummusmíðsskeiðMeðan beinleiðis fornfrøðilig fund av víkingatrummum eru sjáldsom orsakað av, at lívrunnið tilfar niðurbrótist, benda sterk prógv á, at víkingar brúktu trummur. Sannlíkt er at tær líktust sámiskum trummum ella rammutrummum, til ritualir, frásøgn, undirhald og møguliga undir bardaga.Á hesum skeiðnum fært tú møguleika at gera eina siðbundna trummu. Fyri at stuðla tær ígjøgnum tilgongdina hava vit fyrireikað ymisk sløg av skinni frá skandinaviskum djórum, so sum rádýr, krúnhjørti, reinsdjóri, elg og geit. Tú lærir eisini at lita tey við at brúka plantur og urtir.Hetta skeiðið er opið fyri øllum, uttan mun til royndir. Vit vegleiða teg ígjøgnum alla tilgongdina. Tey hava eisini gjørt trummur til kendar tónleikarar, sum til dømis Wardruna, ið hevur gjørt tónleik til seriuna Vikings.Inger Johanne er góðkendur náttúruterapeutur (økoterapi) frá Human Education Group, og hevur yvir 25 ára royndir við náttúruandaligheit við denti í teimum norðurlendsku siðvenjunum. Hon sær náttúruna sum sítt heim, myndbering fyri sína støðu og, ikki minst, sínar røtur. Hon hevur sera góðar royndir í at gera trummur og ringlur. Hon veit eisini eina rúgvu um rúnir.Magnus er útlærdur timburmaður. Hann hevur áhuga fyri sambandinum við náttúruna gjøgnum landbúnað og sjálvbjargni, og hevur eina sera ítøkiliga tilgongd til andaligheit við tí nærmasta: garðin, familjuna og tilhoyrandi vættrar. Magnus stendur aftanfyri mansbólkarnar hjá Ing.Borg, har hann leiðir sveittasmáttur og oyðimørkferðir.Málið er norskt og danskt (enskt eftir tørvi) og varar í 19 tímar býttir yvir 3 dagar.Skeiðið fer fram á Virkinum á Sandi. Íroknað prísin er atgongd til amboð undir skeiðnum, tilfar, eins og víkingaábit og drekkamunnur.

Drummaking courseWhile direct archaeological finds of Viking drums are rare due to organic materials decaying, strong evidence suggests Vikings used drums, likely similar to Sámi shaman drums or frame drums, for rituals, storytelling, entertainment, and possibly battle.During this course, you’ll have the chance to make a traditional drum. To support you through the process, we have prepared various types of hides from Scandinavian animals, such as roe deer, red deer, reindeer, moose, and goat. You will also learn how to dye them using plants and herbs.This course is open to everyone, regardless of experience. We will guide you through the entire drum-making process. It is an extensive process, and while we will assist you in every way possible, you should expect to put in some effort.When you have finished creating your beautiful drums we have an extra offer for those who want to participate. You are welcome to try shamanic work, including drum journeys. While it may be an advantage to have experience with shamanic practice, it is not a requirement.Inger and Magnus Tromborg Syverud have over 30 years of experience building shamanic drums. They are also making drums for musicians, an example is a drum for Wardruna that are behind the music for the tv show Vikings.Inger Johanne is a certified eco-therapist from the Human Education Group and has over 25 years of experience with nature spirituality with a focus on Nordic traditions. She sees nature as her home, a metaphor for her condition and, not least, her roots. She is very experienced in making drums and rattles. She has a passion for Runes as well.Magnus is a trained carpenter. He is interested in the connection to nature through farming and self-sufficiency, and has a very practical approach to spirituality with the immediate: the farm, the family and the land wights. Magnus is behind Ing.Borg's men's groups, where he leads sweat lodges and wilderness trips.Language is Norwegian and Danish (English if needed) and lasts 19 hours spread over 3 days.The course takes place at "Virkið" in Sandur. The price includes access to tools during the course, materials, Viking snacks and drinks.
